General Recommendations
To properly maintain your bag, it is essential to know the type of leather it is made of. You will find the reference on your invoice.
Store your bag in its pouch to protect it from dust, and keep it away from heat and light. In tropical regions, store it in an air-conditioned room and take it out regularly. Always stuff your bag to help it maintain its shape.
The horn carabiner on our bags is for decorative purposes; handle it with care and do not attempt to open it. Once a year, you can nourish it with a cloth and a few drops of sweet almond oil.
You do not need to waterproof your bag; our leather has already been treated for moisture. If your bag gets wet due to rain, never use a hairdryer but wipe it with a cloth and let it air dry.
Also, avoid using wax or other greasy products.
First, test these tips on a small area of your bag. Always clean it as a whole, focusing on any stains. Do not rub them but proceed with gentle patting; this way, the leather will remain even.
Maintenance according to the leather of your bag
Clean the entire bag with a neutral colorless gel or baby toiletry milk and a soft cloth.
If your bag is stained, clean it gently with a damp sponge and black soap or leather soap before wiping it with a dry cloth. To remove a grease stain, apply a packet of Fuller’s earth on the stain, massage for a few moments before letting it sit overnight. Clean the next morning with a damp sponge.
Regularly brush your nubuck bag with a soft-bristle brush to remove dust and straighten the fibers.
In case of a stain due to rain, simply rub the leather with a dry cloth or a crepe brush to fade the stains.
For a deeper cleaning, you can also clean your bag by dusting it with talcum powder or Fuller’s earth. Let the product work overnight and brush the bag the next day.
You can also wash the entire bag with a sponge and leather soap, wipe it with a dry cloth, and then let it air dry. Repeat the process several times if necessary. Once your bag is dry and clean, you can sand it with a crepe eraser or very fine sandpaper. Always waterproof after treatment.
For regular maintenance, use a soft cloth such as chamois. Take neutral colorless gel, baby toiletry milk, or immersed lamb gel and gently massage the entire surface of the bag and let it dry. Once dry, polish with a clean chamois.
This leather is sensitive to water, which may cause it to swell and lift its scales. For regular maintenance, clean your bag with a soft cloth and neutral colorless gel or baby toiletry milk in the direction of the scales. You can also make it shine by gently applying vaseline or glycerin and letting it sit overnight before polishing it with a chamois.
For our canvas bags or canvas lining, a gentle wash with a soft-bristle brush and natural soap is recommended.
To remove a grease stain, apply a packet of Fuller’s earth on the stain, massage for a few moments before letting it sit overnight. Clean the next morning with a damp sponge. For other potential stains, you can use a universal stain remover, such as Eau Écarlate.
If you are cleaning your canvas lining, be sure to remove it from the bag to prevent it from sticking and wetting the leather of your bag.

Different types of stains and how to remove them
These are not real stains; the nubuck fibers have simply been flattened by the rain. Simply rub them with a dry cloth or a crepe eraser to restore the velvety feel of your nubuck bag.

It is imperative to act immediately to prevent the stain from becoming permanent. Dab the stain with a cotton ball soaked in clay stone or with a slightly moistened cotton swab with lemon, white vinegar, or water and black soap. If the stain persists, add a drop of 70% alcohol. Do not spill onto the untainted area of the leather. Then, pass a slightly damp sponge to remove the product and wipe with a dry cloth.
Clean with a slightly damp sponge, possibly using one of the recommended soaps, before wiping with a damp cloth and then wiping with a dry cloth.
Blot the drink as much as possible with absorbent paper, then pass a cloth soaked in makeup remover milk mixed with a few drops of white vinegar on the stain. If the stain persists, replace the vinegar with rubbing alcohol.
Pass a sponge soaked in black soap or clay stone on the entire surface of the bag, focusing on the marks. Then, pass a damp microfiber cloth, followed by a neutral gel before polishing with a soft cloth.
